Another third Sunday in May, another 70,000 runners/walkers/all-around partiers do the Bay to Breakers 12K. Last year, I took hundreds of photos during and after the race; alas, this year, I'm coming off a bad allergy/cold and walk the whole twelve kilometers. It turns out to be a good first (million) steps to get back into the groove.Bay to Breakers is now using shoelace-held "timing chips" that start counting your time once you pass the start line (which often takes over 10-15 minutes or more because of the massive crowd). The artwork is quite nifty so these chips will be worthy collector's items.
No, I did not run naked or wear any wild outfits ... unless you consider a tie-dye and lime green shorts wild:

Enjoy the photos ... and remember, there's always some nudity at Bay to Breakers!

Good Morn, thanks for sharing your photo's. Looks like a good time was had by all. I never have understood, outside nudity, cus there are bugs, and critters, and the chance of sunburn some where that would be most uncomfortable. Just me I guess. p
*sigh* Home sweet home! I can't wait to get my ass back and join next time it's up!
As for the nudity, hey, what would SF be without it I ask?
SO glad to see you are BACK! A blogging dynamo I see! WOOHOOO!
Oooh... I see yogis in there too! Groovy!
We must be living in parallel universes as I too just recovered from a cold/allergy... and for some reason, since become a yogi and a mother, my body does not take to jogging these days, which bites, so I am speedwalking my days away and if in time i can jog again then great and if not, I figure between that and yoga I should be good to go though man how I miss running so live it up for me amigo mio!
I've never seen so much bare-assed truth in a blog before - warts, wrinkles, and sunburn. The burnished truth.
Gives me a idea about what our local Solstice Parade would be like. Next year I'm resolved to watch it.
Man...er, I mean MON...where'd you get that crazy tie dye?
MORE - NEKKID - PICS!!!
Anonymous ~ Yes, more study is needed on the effects of the elements on "outside nudity." Much preliminary research has already been done here in San Francisco.
Miz B ~ ¡Hola, Chica EspaƱa! Hey, I'd blog more if I wasn't outside running so much. Maybe I should run faster in less time to make more time for Blogger!
Vigilante ~ Hey, we're keepin' it real here in SF! Happy Solstice!
Pat ~ That crazy tie-dye was given to me by a good ole friend in '92 ... stay tuned for future "Wayback Wednesdays" with more images of that cool tye-dye!
