Run, Fly, or Row

Mr. FreeThinker, I'm ready for my close-upAnother weekend, another three hour run along my usual route to the Golden Gate Bridge and back.

Just a few photos to share this time: Two not-camera-shy seagulls, and some rowing action in front of Alcatraz.

Seagulls, like most animals, are easy to photograph (if you can get close or have a good zoom) because they can remain perfectly still. (Maybe that's why duck decoys work so well.) On the other hand, the crew zipping by Alcatraz won't - can't - stay still!

As the seagull sits As the crew flies

That's a great picture of Alcatraz.

Thanks for the comment...

Sadly, I didn't burn the midnight oil; instead, I procrastinated till 2:00am, woke up late the next morning, missed my bus, and got to class 25 minutes late.

Oh well.

Freethinker, thanks for stopping by my blog. I've really enjoyed your gull photos. I'm really enjoy birding and also like to take birding pics. whenever I get a chance.

We are very lucky to have Whooping Cranes migrate through our area in Spring and Fall. What a sight!

Yes, I have many friends and acquaintces of various religions, lifestyles, beliefs, and races. I value each dearly and equally.

May I ask you a similar question? Do you have friends that are Christians, or believers in any particular religion?

I hope you have a great weekend.

Rohbit - Maybe you need a warden banging on your cell bars to wake you up? It worked at Alcatraz!

LyZa - I love Little Nemo and his Adventures in Slumberland!

Allison - Thanks for the compliment, but the San Francisco postcard market is oversaturated! As for a good digital SLR that is inexpensive, um, there's no such thing (sadly).

Whitney - There's always post-grad opportunities in San Francisco! And you'd like the "unchurched" culture!

Silvia - Sometimes it's more about random chance than "intelligent design!"

Prayerful Knitter - Like you, I have many Christian friends, as well as many Jewish, Muslim, etc. friends, and many nonreligious friends too! Theology fascinates me, and I love long, deep dialogues with both believers and nonbelievers. I never stop learning. How about you? Do you know anyone who does not believe in gods?

Yes. I also enjoy long discussions with others with differing views or beliefs.

Yes, I have several friends that don't believe in any diety. However, I find that almost everyone "worships" some type of thing, whether they realize it, or not. : )

Too bad you aren't close by....we could have some good discussions.

Prayerful Knitter - Sure, we all -- even atheists -- "worship" something. (Although coffee can now be removed from my own worship list!)
